-Fantasy Zone II: MSX 2-
-Overview-

This appears to be another Japan only release from the folks at Pony Canyon.  Heh, Pony Canyon... who came up with their company name, an 8 year old girl?

-Short Review-

Oddly enough, I thought the MSX2 was capable of better graphics.
Really, these backgrounds look like they'd almost work on the MSX-1, but in some instances look better than the Famicom's FZII backgrounds.  Overall, the graphics are decent, but again, I thought they'd be better, and where'd the story/intro go?
Overall, the game's alot easier because the enemies don't shoot at you, but a few of the bosses are quite a bit harder.  The hardest boss of all is the mirror match at the end of the game, which is almost impossible unless you have the small wings (your evil twin always has the same engine as you), and your clone takes way more hits than in any other version.  I think they made the last boss so hard because they cut out the meat of the ending sequence.  The fewer who can make it there, the fewer who will be disappointed by the ending.
The music's nice, but not as nice as on the SMS.
One thing that really annoyed me was the colission for the shop. which usually causes you to re-enter it right after you leave.
